Entering Canada (Customs / Border Crossing)
~ A valid passport is required to enter Canada.
~ Apply for a U.S. Passport via the U.S. Department of State by filling out their Passport Application.
~ It is your responsibility to make sure you will not be refused entry into Canada. Refusal of entry by Canada Customs is not sufficient reason for a refund on your hunting and/or fishing adventure with Freeman River Adventures. If you've ever had any criminal charges, even a D.U.I., you might have difficulty entering Canada and may need to clear it up months beforehand.
~ When crossing the Canada / United States border, you may be asked to prove the purpose for your travel. We recommend carrying all hunting licenses that you purchased as well as a copy of the contract provided by the outfitter, Freeman River Adventures.
~ For more information on Canada Border Crossing Services, visit www.bordercrossing.ca.

Bringing Firearms into Canada
~ For non-resident hunters who bring their own firearms into Canada, a Non-Resident Firearm Declaration (Form CAFC 909 EF) will serve as license and registration.
~ Please note, the Non-Resident Firearms Declaration (Form CAFC 909 EF), and its continuation sheet (Form CAFC 910 EF), must be presented in triplicate, unsigned, to a Canada customs officer at your first point of entry into Canada.
~ Please fill out the declaration forms ahead of time to save time at the point of entry, however do not sign the forms until you arrive at customs where an officer will have to witness the signature and collect a registration fee. This registration fee is not included in the price of the hunt with the outfitter.
~ A bow is not a firearm and requires no forms for entry.
~ Click here to download the Non-Resident Firearm Declaration Form.
~ For information and/or to receive copies of the required documents in the mail, you may phone the Canadian Firearms Center at 1-800-731-4000 or email canadian.firearms@justice.gc.ca.
